For me, Jesus’ ministry exemplified a radical gospel, not a Hallmark card–type ministry. I believe our mandate at ABSW is to train students to be prophetic and relevant as leaders who authentically are not afraid to serve the underserved and to speak truth to power. Rev. On April 29th, 2016 the ABSW Board of Trustees voted to promote Dr. Valerie Miles-Tribble to the rank of Associate Professor, with all privileges and responsibilities appertaining there to.  Dr. Miles-Tribble has served on the ABSW faculty as part-time Assistant Professor of Ministerial Leadership and Practical Theology as well as part-time Registrar and Director of Student Services since fall 2013.  In addition to her promotion to the rank of Associate Professor Dr. Miles-Tribble will shift to a full-time faculty position fall 2016 and relinquish her academic administrative duties to a newly hired Registrar/Director Student Services yet to be named.  Thank you Dr. Miles-Tribble for your years of service to the institution—we look forward to your continued work with us as full-time faculty at ABSW.

On April 29th, 2016 the ABSW Board of Trustees voted to promote Dr. Sangyil (Sam) Park to the rank of Full-Professor, with all privileges and responsibilities appertaining there to.  Dr. Park has served as Associate Professor of Preaching and Director of the DMin program on the ABSW faculty for 10 years.  During this time he has published several books and articles in English and Korean, including his GTU dissertation entitled, Korean Preaching, Han and Narrative and Preaching in the 21st Century (an edited volume in Korean). Congratulations Dr. Park!
