LOCATION

The Bay Area of northern California is home to the American Baptist Seminary of the West. The campus is located just a few blocks south of the University of California. Across the University campus to the north (a twenty-minute walk) are located the Graduate Theological Union library and bookstore, as well as the campuses of several other GTU seminaries.

PARKING/PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

ABSW is a 15-minute walk from the Berkeley BART Station. The 51 and 40 buslines are just one and two blocks away. Paid parking lots for the general public are within two blocks of the seminary.

ABSW continues to embark on its renovations of its two apartment buildings on Benvenue Street. Because of this, parking for visitors is a bit more complicated. Please call Jane Gonzalez at (510) 841-1905, Ext. 222 for parking help. Otherwise, there continues to be metered and two-hour parking on the local streets.
