The mission of the American Baptist Seminary of the West is dependent upon the generous contributions of alumni/ae, friends, churches, foundations and corporations. Donors to ABSW help provide students with financial scholarships, expert instruction and mentoring, a world-renowned library, and newly renovated classroom space. Most of all, gifts of today can provide hope for tomorrow as the seminary educates men and women to be effective ministers of Christ's church.

Make A Gift Online

You can now make donations to the seminary online using our secure transaction servers. Your credit card transaction is processed quickly, and you can print a receipt for your records. We ask that your credit card donations be in amounts of $25 or more.

Planned Giving

Throughout its history, the American Baptist Seminary of the West has received many special gifts from donors who have remembered the seminary in estate planning. ABSW will accept gifts of cash, securities, or real estate. Gifts can be made to the seminary in several ways:

Check/Cash
Gifts of check/cash can be sent to the Office of Seminary Advancement, American Baptist Seminary of the West, 2606 Dwight Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

Credit card
Donations by credit card can be made using our convenient online donation form. Our secure server connections ensure your transaction will be handled quickly and safely.

Automated Giving
The Automated Giving Plan (AGP) allows you to have your contributions conveniently deducted from your checking account. AGP is made available to you by ABSW in partnership with Christian Community Credit Union. To sign up for AGP, download and complete Automated Giving Authorization Form below and send it along with a voided check to American Baptist Seminary of the West. When your Automated Giving Plan deductions are about to go into effect, you will be notified by ABSW. You may change or cancel your deduction at any time by writing to ABSW. Changes will be made within 14 days of your written request.
