DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR APPOINTED

Christopher DonaldsonChristopher Donaldson, an experienced fund-raiser and nonprofit leader, has been named director of development for ABSW.

An American Baptist layman, Donaldson has a rich and varied experience in fund raising. He was director of development for ChangeMakers Foundation and Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, both in San Francisco.

Most recently Donaldson was director of operations for People United for a Better Oakland (PUEBLO), where he led special event planning, direct mail campaigns, and major gift development.

This fall Donaldson also began part-time studies in ABSW’s M.Div. program. He holds a master of education degree in nonprofit management from Cambridge College.

Donaldson assumes fund development responsibilities from the Rev. Michelle Holmes, now vice president and chief financial officer.

“Chris’ proven track record in fund raising will help us sustain our current support and build relationships with new donors,” says President Keith Russell.
