Tom Arbogast (’63) retired from 37 years of pastoral ministry in Colorado, Washington, Minnesota and Kansas. He is presently serving as interim minister of West Hayoville Baptist Church in Kansas.

Larry Armstrong (’62) developed and now directs the Homesteaders Museum in Torrington, Wyo.

Emil Authelet (’60, ’86) co-authored a new book, “When the Caregiver Becomes the Patient: A Journey From a Mental Disorder to Recovery and Compassionate Insight” (Spring 2002, Haworth Press).

James Breckenridge (’60) has been busy lecturing since his retirement in 1997. This fall, he plans to teach at the Bible Institute of the Baptist Church in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Douglas G. Brown (’55) continues to work in Stewardship Development in the Southern Baptist Convention of New Mexico.

William Calbert (’52) delivered the invocation for a veteran’s ceremony sponsored by Congress and for the Military Chaplains Association’s Vietnam Memorial ceremony.

Arthur Fritzke (’56) completed his third singing tour abroad in 2001. He has now retired from the Bell’Arte Singers after nine years with the group.

Carl Holmgren (’59) retired in 2001 after 21 years from Pathfinders Ministry in Bellingham, Wash.

Virginia Hunt (‘58) owns The Extra Edge, a tutoring and support service for children with learning difficulties.

Lou Johnson (’87) was honored for 20 years of ministry at Friendship Baptist Church, Vallejo, Calif. She is currently working as a social worker supervisor with Agappe Valley in Vallejo.

Manley Johnson (’44, ’49) is teaching at Citrus Community College in Altadena, Calif.

Almon S. Keib (’52) and Lawrence R. Odegard (’52) celebrated the 50th anniversary of their ordination on May 4.

Robert Keller (’56) is active in volunteer work at Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver, Colo.

Almus “Spike” Larsen (’55) serves as a member of the Valle Verde Advisory Board and the American Baptist Homes of the West Board of Directors.

Leroy Lindsey (’46) and his wife, Jessie, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in January.

Steve Meineke (’75) is currently serving as president of the California Division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Carroll Morony (’70) became senior pastor of First Baptist Church, Garden City, Kan., on July 1, 2001.

Robert T. (“Ted”) Nutting (’67) is active in the Loveland Rotary Club in Loveland, Colo. He and his wife, Kitty, are about to celebrate 39 years of marriage.

R. James Ogden (’66) retired in August 2001 and is now living in Rose Villa Retirement Community in Portland, Ore.

Curtis “Ben” Pruett (’45) enjoys “RVing” and visiting his three children and four grandchildren.

Julia Burns-Robbinson (’99) will receive her D.Min. from the San Francisco Theological Seminary on May 25, 2002.

Jinni Kilgore Ross (’85) is minister of education for St. Paul Baptist Church in Memphis, Tenn. She has edited/published five books since 1999 and currently has three books about to be published with Judson, Fortress and Chalice publishers.

Garland R. Shinn (’58) is doing pulpit supply and interim pastorates.

Allison Tanner (’98,’00) was ordained on Jan. 27 at Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church, Oakland, Calif.

Bernard Turner (’55) received an honorary doctorate in May from Linfield College, McMinnville, Ore., for his volunteer work in the community and specifically for Habitat for Humanity.

John Ward (’54) has been an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich, N.Y., where he is president of a senior citizen's group.

William Wheeler (’60) is treasurer of the Colusa County Literacy Council, assists two police and sherrif's departments, and is the pastor emeritus of Colusa Trinity United Methodist Church, Colusa, Calif.

Everest Zediker (’61), after retiring in January 2001, was elected president of the Idaho Baptist Convention Board of Directors for 2002. He also became a founding member of the Marta Anderson Moore Foundation.

Mildred Zediker (’61) continues to substitute in the Butte School District in Idaho. She has also written a children’s book.
