David Anderson’s (’71) wife,
Donna, died on Dec. 26, 2003, after a long illness.
Philip Bowling-Dyer (’00) published
an article in the January 2004 edition of Christianity Today. The
article is titled "One Lord, One Faith, Many Ethnicities."
Michael Crane (’84) recently moved
to pastor Niantic Baptist Church in Niantic, Conn. He moved from
Kansas City, Mo., where he pastored at Grace Baptist Church for
four years.
Everett Curry (’67) and his wife,
Barbara, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in June 2004.
Louis Engle (’70) pastors at Valley
River Baptist Church and also teaches in the department of biblical
studies at Eugene Bible College in Eugene, Ore.
Larry Fewell (’02) is now the pastor
of visitation for South Bay Community Church in Fremont, Calif.
Myrwood Guy (’55) and wife, Coral,
became the pastor and the musician for the Community Church of Thousands
Palms, Calif., last September.
Richard Ketchum (’74) has become the new
pastor for Grace Baptist Church in Portland, Ore.
Michael-Ray Mathews (’99), pastor
of Grace Baptist Church in San José, Calif., was a panelist
in March for a forum on Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of
the Christ.” The forum was sponsored by The Commonwealth Club
Silicon Valley and Trinity Cathedral.
Randle Mixon (’73, ’95)
began on March 2 as interim minister of First Baptist Church, Granville,
Ohio.
Dorothy Morgan-Maddox (’98) received
her D.Min. from San Francisco Theological Seminary in May 2003.
Christine Otani (’03) was ordained
on Nov. 2, 2003, at the First Chinese Baptist Church of San Francisco,
Calif.
Daniel Pryfogle (’01) is teaching
leadership and organizational development through the Duke University
Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management. He is also an instructor
for the Faith-Based Leadership Institute, a national consortium
of health and human services organizations.
Doug Siden (’55, ’03) was
elected president for 2004 of the East Bay Regional Parks Board
of Directors. Siden lives in Alameda, Calif.
Robert Varnam (’74) is now the
pastor at Papago Buttes Church of the Brethren in Scottsdale, Ariz.
