Seminary Slates Evening Explorations
ABSW is offering prospective students a variety of ways to explore
seminary education.
“Evenings at ABSW,” a series of informational sessions
scheduled throughout the spring, will introduce participants to
different facets of the seminary experience. Sessions include:
“Am I Called to Ministry?” (April 22): Dr.
Keith Russell, president, will share the vision of ABSW and speak
about one’s call to ministry. A spiritual gifts assessment
will be available to participants free of charge.
“What Is a Seminary Education?” (April 29):
Faculty and students will introduce the curriculum and degree
programs. Participants will be invited to sit in on a seminary
class.
“What Is Life Like After Seminary?” (May 6):
ABSW alums will talk about their seminary experience and the ministries
they are currently leading. All participants will receive a copy
of Dr. Keith Russell’s In Search of the Church.
“How Do I Apply for Seminary, and How Do I Afford It?”
(May 13): Participants will learn about the application process,
financial aid, and campus housing. A tour of the newly renovated
apartments will be offered.
All sessions will be held in the Drexler Student Commons on the
first floor of Hobart Hall at 2606 Dwight Way in Berkeley. Participants
should RSVP with Erica Belue at 510-841-1905 ext. 246 or ebelue@absw.edu.
