More than 1,000 friends and family offered their congratulations to the graduates of the Class of 2006 May 20. Commencement was held at Allen Temple Baptist Church in Oakland.

Dr. Gillette James, pastor of Oakland's Beth Eden Baptist Church, gave the address celebrating the 26 graduates, the largest class in years. Eun Kyoung Nho was the student speaker, and Dr. James Donahue, president of the Graduate Theological Union, brought greetings, as did Dr. J. Alfred Smith Sr., host pastor and professor of preaching and church ministries.
