BEQUEST MADE TO SEMINARY

Bernadine Koenigkramer, a longtime American Baptist and volunteer until her death in 2001 at age 102, left a bequest of $166,388 to ABSW.

Koenigkramer was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakland. She lived at Piedmont Gardens, an American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW) retirement community, for more than 20 years.

She was an active member of the Saturday Senior Center, creating hats and quilts for newborns at Children’s Hospital.

“I like to be helpful," she said in a 1998 ABHOW publication, "and do something for somebody.”
