HOLMES TO HEAD FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT
The
Rev. Michelle "Micky" Holmes has been named chief financial
officer of ABSW following the resignation of Richard Robb.
Holmes, who has managed fund raising, church relations, alumni/ae
affairs, and communications for the seminary over the past 12 years,
will now supervise finance and development as the schools
sole vice president.
President Keith Russell announced the reorganization in November
and launched a search for a director of development.
Holmes is a 1996 graduate of ABSW. She was ordained in November
of the same year. She is the fifth member of her family and the
third generation to be ordained an American Baptist minister.
She earned her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Redlands
and her MBA from California Polytechnic State University in San
Luis Obispo.
Holmes joined the staff of ABSW in 1990 and was appointed vice
president for seminary relations in 1994. Previous to coming to
ABSW, she was executive director of the Wellness Council of San
Luis Obispo County.
"I am delighted that Rev. Holmes is willing to take on these
new responsibilities at ABSW. Her gifts are a blessing to the seminary,"
Russell said.
