leaders spent three days in January at the San Damiano Retreat exploring
the theme “Earthen Vessels, Living Water: Rediscovering Pastoral
Care in Changing Contexts.” The 2005 Pastoral Leadership Conference
featured Dr. Archie Smith, professor of pastoral psychology and
counseling at the Pacific School of Religion, and Dr. Judy Yates
Siker, ABSW’s assistant professor of New Testament. The next
conference will be held Jan. 9-11, 2006, on the theme of preaching
and worship.
