Weekly Touch (May 15, 2020)

May 15, 2020 ~ Weekly Touch

We are quickly approaching the close of spring semester 2020, which means we should be in the throes of planning graduation. However, due to the Covid-19 mandate to “shelter in place”, we will not be able to hold graduation ceremonies on the third Saturday of May as has been our tradition. Instead, we are planning a special combined graduation and convocation on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Please mark that date on your calendars.

Even though the actual ceremony has been postponed, we do want to congratulate the Graduation Class of 2020. This year’s graduation class is small— no more than eight people—but mighty.

On behalf of myself and the Board of Trustees I offer heartfelt congratulations to the class of 2020.

I have a morning practice that begins with prayer and devotional time spent with Our Daily Bread. The practice just seems to set my day right before “life” intervenes. I have been thinking about ABSW and what to say to this fine graduating class for several days. Two interesting things occurred. First the focus of this morning’s devotion was Psalm 67:1,2. Secondly, when I went to the passage in my study Bible I found that I had highlighted those two verses and put ABSW beside it, at some point in time.

Are you interested in a representative from ABSW preaching or presenting at your church?
